Award-winning actor Philippe Torreton and jazz percussionist/composer Edward Perraud interpret the texts of Allain Leprest in a spoken-word-jazz performance never before seen outside of France. This documentary follows the MEC! tour in the U.S.A. as they travel from city to city giving light to a lost gem of French literature. Each artist gives great insight to both their personal connection to Allain Leprest’s poems and their cultural significance. Edward’s percussive movements combined with Philippe’s dynamic reading of Leprest allow the texts to transcend the page and become something completely new in Inside MEC!
